Klaus Erik Krogh was born on January 26, 1952, in Frederiksberg, Denmark. A designer, publisher, and visionary, he has shaped the art of communication across borders. Educated in Copenhagen and Oslo, he began his career in Norway before founding 2K/Denmark in 1987—today a world leader in Bible design and typographic innovation. His creative ventures span publishing, children’s media, and digital development. Krogh has served as Honorary Consul of Mexico, chaired societies for book and Bible craftsmanship, and external examiner at Danish universities. Married to Liv Sødal Krogh since 1984, he is father to two daughters, Lea and Oda..

Keith Riegert is the President of The Stable Book Group, which includes Ulysses Press, She Writes Press, VeloPress Books, Trafalgar Square Books, and Skybox Press, as well as Stable Distribution (in partnership with Hachette Book Group). Keith is also CEO of Perfect Bound Technologies Corporation and a co-founder of the book publicity and digital marketing firm, Pacific & Court. Keith is a member of the board of advisors at NYU’s School of Professional Studies in the Center for Publishing where he also teaches Analytics and Consumer Insights. Keith also serves on the boards of the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) and the AI firm, Inkbloom.

1C Beyond Amazon: Building Online Sales with Independent Bookstores for Mission-Driven Publishers
Andy Hunter is the founder and CEO of Bookshop.org, an ecommerce platform launched in January 2020 to support independent bookstores and provide socially conscious readers with an alternative to Amazon. Since its launch, Bookshop.org has raised more than $40 million for independent bookstores and was certified by B-Lab as a “Best for the World” company, in the top 5% of B-Corp’s worldwide. Hunter is also the co-creator and publisher of the websites Literary Hub, Crime Reads, and BookMarks, as well as the cofounder and chairman of Electric Literature. He was previously publisher at Catapult, Counterpoint, and Soft Skull press.
Among the many recognitions for Hunter’s work keeping literature a vital part of our culture in the digital age are the 2011 Innovations in Reading Prize from the National Book Foundation, the 2021 BISG Industry Innovator Award, and inclusion in Bloomberg Business Week’s The Bloomberg 50: “Ones to Watch” in 2021.

1D 10 Tools to Enhance Your Digital Teaching
Shari Noland is the Chief Information and Technology Officer at Urban Ministries, Inc., where she leads digital strategy, eLearning, and technology operations. Her background includes work in Educational Services at the Chicago Tribune, roles as a design editor in major newsrooms, and early digital media positions at Cox Interactive Media, iVillage.com, and Childmagazine. She later founded WebEdits & More and first partnered with UMI as a client, which sparked her focus on how technology can strengthen ministry and expand access to Christian education. Shari also teaches as an adjunct professor at Dominican University. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University, a Princeton certificate in church and ministry, PMP certification, and completion of the Wharton CTO Program at the University of Pennsylvania.
Workshop Description:
Practical, classroom-tested tools for Christian educators teaching online or in hybrid settings. Participants will be introduced to 10 tools that help you help faith formation teachers create strong visuals, record short teaching videos, run interactive activities, organize lessons, and build simple digital spaces that keep learners engaged throughout the week. The session also draws on lessons I’ve learned while helping ministries shift from print to digital, including what translates well, what doesn’t, and where simple tools can make a real difference. Each tool is easy to use and chosen for its ability to support clear teaching, encourage participation, and deepen spiritual formation. By the end of the session, participants will know which tools fit their publishing ministry context and how to start using them right away.

1E Supply Chain Resilience in Publishing: Mitigating Disruption
David Hetherington is the VP – Global Business Development for Books International, a leading provider of book manufacturing and fulfillment services to book publishers.
David holds a BS in business administration from Edison University and MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson.
Mr. Hetherington’s portfolio reflects a broad range of responsibilities including VP of Manufacturing and VP of Financial Planning for Simon & Schuster Higher Ed. In addition, Mr. Hetherington held leadership roles in Finance, Operations, and Sales at Reader’s Digest, Wolters Kluwer Health, Columbia University Press and Baker & Taylor.
In addition, Mr. Hetherington served as COO of Klopotek North America and as CMO for knk Software .

Workshop Description:
Global supply shocks, rising freight costs, EUDR and capacity constraints are testing publishing supply chains. This session will equip attendees with tools to (1) assess risk exposure across printing, distribution, warehousing, and shipping; (2) build contingency models (e.g. multiple suppliers, buffer inventory, geographic diversification); and (3) negotiate more resilient contracts with partners. By the end, participants will draft a mini risk‐mitigation plan tailored to their organization’s footprint.

2B Fast & Free Accessibility Checks You Can Do Yourself!
Jeff Singleton is a leading authority on digital accessibility and testing. A former member of Microsoft’s Accessible Technology Group, he helped develop and test Windows Narrator.
Jeff has led accessibility projects for organizations including HP, Microsoft, NASA, and the Veterans Health Administration. An expert in WCAG and Section 508, he combines technical insight with real-world understanding of assistive technologies.
For almost two decades, Jeff has trained audiences at major conferences, including CSUN and the National ADA Symposium. He also holds a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer credential and an ADA Coordinator Title III Business Certificate.

2C Amazon 101: Optimizing book listings in an age of AI
Ian Lamont is the founder of i30 Media and the creator of the Lean Media framework. He started his publishing business in 2012 with a single how-to guide, which has since expanded to a complete line of utility nonfiction (the IN 30 MINUTES series) as well as several ancillary product lines. Ian uses a range of Amazon programs, including Amazon Advertising, Seller Central, Vendor Central, and the Amazon Brand Registry to develop and market new products. He is a frequent speaker at publishing events on Amazon-related topics. He is a graduate of Boston University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Publishers know that Amazon the biggest marketplace for readers to discover and purchase new titles. In this workshop, experienced independent publisher and Amazon seller Ian Lamont will explore the brutal math that governs book sales and profitability on Amazon, and what publishers need to do to optimize their book listings and book brands in an age of AI. We will collaboratively critique book listings submitted by audience members, to identify areas of improvement.

Sarah Arbuthnot is the Chief Commercial Officer at leading publishing website provider Supadu. Her interests and experience have been focused on consumer behaviour and specifically how consumers behave in the digital world in respect of what they buy and how they shop.
Alex Murphy has over 25 years of experience in publishing, firstly working in the newspaper industry and now in his current role as Managing Director at Stison. He is passionate about helping businesses succeed and has a proven ability to deliver on clear strategic goals.
Alex is clearly focused on customer service and satisfaction. He has an ability to understand complex processes and explain situations in a clear fashion. He is known for sharing his insights as well as for his excellent communication skills.

In her role of business development, Kathy Krenzien partners with Christian publishers of any size to leverage Nord Compo’s expertise and technical innovation to deliver mission-driven and compelling content to help publishers extend their reach and grow revenue.
Prior to joining Nord Compo, she led teams in Christian publishing to create books and bibles in multiple languages. Having been a customer of Nord Compo for 8 years, she understands how prepress services for print and digital products will benefit publishers in the religious sector
Kathy’s operations background is both broad and deep including managing typesetting, translation, and design for print and digital products; business analysis and marketing; metadata; licenses and intellectual property; and international distribution and logistics. During her career, she has actively contributed to various industry trade associations. She holds an MBA from East Texas A&M University.
As Executive Director, Larry Bennett manages the North American and other international markets for French technology company Nord Compo, the leader in providing prepress composition, digital, design and audiobook services for book publishers in the French-speaking world. Prior to joining Nord Compo full time, Larry worked on retainer with Nord Compo and a variety of small book publishers. From 2011-2013, Mr. Bennett was President of Distribution at Bookmasters, Inc., where he was responsible for managing the global distribution business, including print and eBooks. From 2007-2011, Mr. Bennett was Vice President of Digital Print Media at Baker & Taylor where he was responsible for developing and managing the company's Digital Print Media (print on demand) business worldwide.Larry is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Placing a high value on languages, he is a fluent Spanish speaker and speaks business level French and Italian.

As Global Head of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (EDIB) for Cambridge University Press, Valarie Guagnini leads the global integration of EDIB principles across the books, journals and Cambridge Online portfolio—with a strong focus on people, culture, and inclusive publishing practices. My work centers on embedding equity into every stage of the publishing lifecycle, from recruitment and retention to data transparency around authorship, contributors,reviewers and partnerships.
